Later, after the performance pressure is off, you run that DI signal through whatever amp tone you want. Different captures. Different profiles. Different clones. Traditionally, reamping meant sending your DI signal back out through a physical amp, mic'ing that amp, and re-recording. It worked, but it was a pain. You needed a reamp box, a physical amp, microphones, a decent room, and enough volume to push the amp into its sweet spot without getting evicted.
